Where is the best place to buy scrubs? Apparently, Giant Tiger

Bringing you interesting support work news isn’t always easy. On social media, I must wade through all the dense weeds of job ads and self-promo posts.

Occasionally, I find gems – surprising stuff! That’s what I found on a Facebook thread about the best place to buy cheap scrubs. The gem is the post not simply being about merchants pitching their stuff, but about real, honest support workers giving their takes on where to find cheap scrubs. Giant Tiger, again? That store that could pass as an upscale thrift store?! Incidentally, I had a rehab client with sticky fingers who would snatch stuff as we shopped. He lived close to a Giant Tiger, and I made it a point to take him there when he needed stuff. I figured that when we left the store and he slipped items from his pockets or jacket to 'surprise' me, it wouldn’t be such a big out-of-pocket blow for me to return to the store and pay for such items, since they were so cheap. Needless to say, I never considered taking him shopping at Yorkville. I tell these stories not to entertain, but to keep it real by detailing daily life in the support-work trenches.
